Lee Ryder is an art director and graphic designer experienced in producing award winning publications, logos, brochures and marketing materials. Prior to starting her own business in 1992, she was responsible for the launch of three magazines— Metropolis, SF Magazine, and Museum & Arts—taking these projects from concept through execution and successful establishment in the marketplace.

Trained as a designer, but with many years spent in editorial work, Lee brings to her work a special understanding of the relationship of words and images along with a sensitivity to the structure and clarity of the information being communicated. While her current practice continues to include editorial projects, the scope of her business has expanded since starting her own studio. She now produces a wide variety of materials from marketing/sales/media kits and capability brochures to logos, annual reports, websites and subscription flyers. Among the clients she has served are the New York Philharmonic, The Metropolitan Opera Guild, New York City Opera, New York Festival of Song, American Lawyer Media, Anderson Consulting, Akustiks, and numerous small arts organizations in the New York Area.

In addition to her professional activities, Lee is an active avocational singer and president of Amuse, a small ensemble she founded in 2001. She has also served on the Board of Directors of The Tiffany Consort and the Brooklyn Ballet.
